QEEG Brain Mapping

Detecting concussion using precise data analytics

Before treating you for post concussion headache, we need to know if you’ve had a concussion, and how severe it was. With a QEEG , we can get answers to both these questions in a matter of minutes.

Diagnosing Concussion

One of the best things about a QEEG report is how precisely it can diagnose whether or not you’ve have a concussion. The report provided is able to tell you how likely it is that you’ve had a concussion (97.5% likely) and how severe it was (about 6/10). This information is key in deciding the course of action after a head injury, and very helpful if you need documentation that an injury has occurred.

A QEEG, or a “brain map”, allows us to see which areas of the brain are working too fast or too slow. Think of it like areas of your brain stuck in the wrong “gear”. This is helpful for conditions like anxiety or ADHD, where we see excessive amount of activity in brain regions that control attention and emotion. Once we know what’s not working correctly, we can create customized rehab programs that re-train the brain to work at the appropriate speed.
